Harriet Miers, Pres. Bush's choice to replace Sandra Day O'Connor on the Supreme Court, went into her meeting today with U.S. Senator Sam Brownback believing her toughest job would be to reassure the conservative Kansas Republican that her nomination wasn't, as he put it, a "missed opportunity". But what proved to be the real challenge of the session was maintaining her composure whenever the tiny brown man on the pedestal would interrupt by making fake fart noises and vow not to stop until she stated her positions on abortion, gay marriage and equal rights for tiny brown men.
