In A Pickle Over PETA Protesters

Okay, this one has me a little conflicted. What we're looking at here are a pair of naked activists from PETA in Hamburg and they're apparently lying in coffins to protest the consumption of chickens. Love the naked thing, hate the coffin thing, have some friends who are vegetarians so I'm okay with that part, but not a fan of the PETA people. So for those of you keeping score at home, that's a big yes for naked vegetarians, but a big no for coffin-dwelling PETA-rians.

Huh. You know, I'm afraid I'm going to have to get back to everybody on this one. But feel free to try and sway me one way or the other.

You know of course that PETA stands for "People for the Eating of Tasty Animals," right?

The question is: have you ever really seen a naked vegetarian? Or are you just waxing carrots?

Whether or not I'm waxing carrots or anything else for that matter seems entirely beside the point. As for whether I have or have not "ever really seen a naked vegetarian", well, I'm far too much of a gentleman to answer that question. Let's just say I've been around and seen some things.

I can get behind being a vegetartian and making sure that animals are treated OK.

It's a lot of the vegans that freak me out.

They don't eat honey because it comes from Bees.
I'm like, yea, but that's what bees do, they make honey. Just like Chickens lay eggs. I'm not saying that maybe chickens or other livestock should not be given a little more chance to live better lives, including the ones that wind up getting eaten, but honey?

I could easily eat a vegetarian diet at the least for a while, but there is no way I am giving up on cheese, honey, milk or eggs..

All good points, Mike V. But a little clarification, if you would, on two small points. First, when you say you could "easily eat a vegetarian diet", does that mean meals consisting exclusively of vegetables or are you talking about eating the actual vegetarians themselves? Mind you, I make no judgement here -- I simply want to be clear, because I think you'll agree there's quite a world of difference between the two. Second, did you just call me honey?

Yes, and yes.

Now, let's take this offline.
